My experience with this particular facility has not been what I would call the best. First off I didn’t choose this facility it was chosen for me by someone at OHSU trying to place me after a long medical battle that was continuing to drag on, first thing being that we didn’t realize that there is different levels that they are allowed to do. IE my wound was bleeding quite regularly, so I needed clotting agents applied to my wound when they were putting the new bandage on. But we came to finding out that they are not licensed to do so. That was never explained to us by the woman at OHSU who was helping with finding a placement location for some longer-term care, due to my wound and the fact that my wound involves cancer. If we had known that all along we would have said no and find a different place. I know finding a bed in one of these places that is empty is challenging to say the least. But it is just one of those non-negotiable things for my betterment of care. Plus the food is horrendous it is one step away from fast food. It also is extremely overcooked, I mean I realize that I probably a lot of the people that are going there don’t have much teeth anymore. It’s very tough and chewy. As well as very overcooked hence part of the chewy. The personnel there needs to be more forthcoming about what they can and cannot do as a living facility so that you know if it’s a good fit for you. I will say this the daytime nurse for the weekends, her name is Maggie she is very good play what she does.
Great place, even better people and staff 5 stars
There’s a fresh sense of care at Evan Terrace Post Acute Care since the new administrator stepped in. You can really feel the effort, and it’s encouraging to see things moving in such a positive direction.
Worse place ever!!!!!! DONT SENT YOUR LOVE ONE HERE!! My old client is at this facility. He had feces underneath his fingernails, dirty clothes. He lost so much weight in a month.
The vibes are awesome. They really be doing the most out here going the extra mile and all that. My worst fear is leaving a loved one at a place like the care facility in happy Gilmore, can’t have granny pulling landscaping duty yk. But they do it right here fs, and I can’t say enough good things about the facility admin, he a real one
Evan Terrace Post Acute is a great building that is staffed by people who are invested in providing great resident care. I highly recommend anyone who is looking for placement for their loved ones in a skilled nursing or long-term care facility consider Evan Terrace!
I enjoy living here at Evan Terrace. I love the activities department, the house staff and the administration. They are really good about keeping my appointments and travel on time also.
Evan Terrace is a great location that is close to many things such as coffee shops, shopping and restaurants, which allows me to keep my independence. The house staff is helpful and gives excellent care! Evan Terrace has a great community feeling and a great activity department! I would recommend Evan Terrace!
What I love most about this place is if I have a problem, there’s always someone willing to help me. The staff is cheerful, smiling and talkative. I love being here.
I like the location and the friends I’ve made. I enjoy the consistency of Evan Terrace and the staff. I love that the Activities department is more than just games, they always show they care, but I do love playing the game Ten Thousand.
The staff is always willing to help when needed. The Activities department is outgoing and goes the extra mile. I enjoy the people, including the fellow residents, that I am surrounded with.
Worst place ever The nurses don’t care about patients at all Specially if u can’t speak are need anything Don’t recommend this place at all Even there food sucks My loved one who is in there for rehab Has to suffer because of staff Not doin there job. It’s sad places like this need to be shut down
My mom came to this facility for therapy services and we have been appalled at the lack of therapy she has been offered and the mediocre care she has gotten since she admitted there. We have shown up during her meal times and the staff have not cut up her meat or assisted her in any way. In fact, she is in bed every time we show up at various times of the day. How is she supposed to get stronger if she is in bed all of the time? They have not respected her right to be treated with dignity for various other reasons. I would never take a loved one here. This is why we are transferring her to another skilled facility.
Great new care team and amazing changes with the new company.
Worst care you ever get they don’t give a damn about the people they never get your pain pills to be on time you’re like the dog chain out in the backyard that they forgot about I will not recommend nobody to come here
We were unsure what to expect when told my husband would need to go to a SNF because you always hear how bad they can be but Evan Terrace has been amazing from the day we got here. The staff is amazing we have had so many of them go above and beyond to make this as painless as possible. The facility is clean and well maintained by a great housekeeping staff. My husband is a very picky eater and the kitchen staff make daily adjustments to accommodate his likes and dislikes and they always have a smile. The administration staff is so amazing they constantly encourage patients/residents and if there is a problem it is addressed and handled immediately. Same with maintenance issues, there is not a day you don’t see maintenance going up and down the halls making sure things are working properly. The nurses and CNAs are absolutely amazing. Yes sometimes you may have to wait for them to respond to your call light but that is normally because they are with other patients/residents and they are doing their best. The physical and occupational therapists are the best! My husband could barley walk without assistance when he got here and now he is going up and down stairs. And thanks to an amazing activities department there is always something fun to do. Evan Terrace really does go above and beyond to make being in a SNF as easy as possible.
Some of the med techs here needs to know how real pain feels! They tell my wife she needs to request her pain meds, but they still don’t bring them in a timely manner. More than likely poketing them.
My mom is located in this rehab and has been waiting on her nurse so use the bathroom for and hour and a half . Im on the phone with her and you can hear the nurses yelling at the patients. Her food was cold as well . Terrible place to come for rehab. .
Seems that my prior review was removed (March 2025). I would not send a loved one to this facility. Mine was not treated well at all and called me several times to let me know about poor treatment (once, they’d fallen and needed help, another time, they were provided incorrect food). I live in another state, or I would have done so immediately. When I did speak to anyone there, they were rude, annoyed with my call and passed off my concerns as “overreaction.” I have also shared my comments with Oregon Department of Human Services.
Evan Terrace is an exceptional skilled nursing facility! All of the staff from the administrator, Carter, to the floor staff are highly motivated, compassionate and caring. I would highly recommend this facility!
Great place for your family to receive post acute care
I can’t say enough good things about Evan Terrace Post Acute. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome, supported, and cared for. The nurses and caregivers are not only professional but truly compassionate—they treated my loved one with dignity and kindness every step of the way. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and has a warm, calming atmosphere. The rehab team was incredible—motivating, skilled, and genuinely invested in helping patients regain strength and independence. Communication with the medical staff was clear and consistent, which made a huge difference in our experience. It’s never easy having a family member in post-acute care, but Evan Terrace made a difficult time so much easier. I would absolutely recommend this facility to anyone looking for high-quality care and a team that truly puts patients first.
I have been here for 6 days. I have had promises of things to get better and it’s not as bad as my first day here. I did come in from ICU at OHSU with total hip replacement . At 8:30 at night which started the problems. Luis checked me in and he was absolutely amazing…things went down hill fast after that. I got into my room and it was time for my pain meds-so I waited patiently for a few hours. Awhile later I had to use the bathroom and was taken to the bathroom by Tim ( another awesome employee) still waiting another hour I had been denied first pain med regimented. Again, I needed the bathroom and I’m now in severe pain and high anxiety. A CNA Gabby came and told me I had to use the bed pan. I was ambulatory at OHSU so I was surprised at the need for bedpan. I tried suggesting I didn’t need it but to no avail. Reluctantly I used it and urine spilled on bed to which they made a change of sheets with me in bed. They rolled me on my surgical site 3times causing more pain Still w/o pain meds. Later needing to go again this time bedpan spilled and I was left in my urine for the duration of the night. Now I have missed 3doses of pain meds…I told my story to a wonderful nurse (Jenn) and also wonderful nurse (Nena) it was reported to upper management who assured me all would be taken care of. I got my pain pills and thought was good! That was Friday – weekend came all went awry. Pain meds again missed- they “ran out”. I ended up in ER – they helped me out. I come back here and had to have my son bring my meds from. So pain free for rest of day and night -nurse found out and took pills. They got my pills in began my pain regimen kinda on time until 5am this morning when I awakened to pain and had to wait for 2hours and had to take myself to the restroom bc no one came to help. 7am got meds, 10:10 I requested scheduled meds and again waited until 10:35. There was some attitude from one of the ladies bc I vented and let her know that my niceness wasn’t happening and that I expected my scheduled dose at 1:35 pm. Not sure what the future holds but trying to optimistic. My family and friends are beyond pissed and my daughter in law is reporting this to senior services for neglect. Family is worried about retaliation from here. I can only hope things get better. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼
Won’t answer the phone, and gave the wrong medicine to wrong patient. Pathetic.
